week 13 : read faster (continued)


          We started to learn late because power outage. Therefore we must to change class room.
When we started to learn first of all she asked us about homework and answer homework.

          Then, we read the passage from beginning to end. Do not stop and do not go back over what we have read and checked answers.



Obstacles to faster effective reading

- very old people and very young children learn to read in mush the same way.
- Sometimes possible to see three words at once without moving the eyes.
- Some students get discouraged when they first start reading faster.
- Should read a book that has more than five or six new words per page.
- Vocalizing will prevent readers from reading at speeds of over 280 w.p.m.

          After that we read ' Hints for reading practice and checked answers again. Teacher helped to check answers and edited some answer was wrong.



Hints for speed reading practice 

Do not try to take in each word separately.

- Title and paragraph heading can help you to get the outline of a pasage.

- The topic sentence of an information-giving paragraph in English is most often at the beginning.




Dictionaries slow you down!

- If you want to know the words mean, make a note and check later.
- You will not to use a dictionary.


The ASEAN Community 2015




Teacher gave us to write spiderweb on the board that about 'The ASEAN Community' and I wrote one.

          After that, we watched the video and wrote down the words that us have seen and heard.



      Asean stands for Association of South-east Asians Nations.The ASEAN community was formed 1967 and has ten members countries : Brunei, Laos, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, the philippines, Myanmar and Thailand. 


The three doors of the ASEAN Community are as follows: people, prosperity and peace.
